The Mayaguez Indians won their 20th LBPRC Championship downing the San Juan Senators 5-2 on Friday night to win the series 5-1.
They will now head to Mexicali for the Caribbean Series where they hope to repeat what they did in 1992 and 1978 which was bring home the title. Isan Diaz was named the series MVP. He homered on Friday night and finished with a .450 average with 3 doubles and 5 RBI.
The Indians, representing Puerto Rico, will take on the winner of the Jalisco/Culican series in Mexico. Their first match will be Friday night at 11PM EST
