The 2024-2025 ABL Championship Series is set with the Perth Heat facing off against Canberra Cavalry. The two teams swept their semi-final series and will play for the title in a best-of-three.

This weekend Perth defeated the Adelaide Giants 2-1 and 5-3. Canberra downed the league leading Sydney Blue Sox 3-1 and 5-2 to advance.

The best-of-three championship will take place next weekend. Here is the schedule:

ABLCS

Game 1, Friday 31. Jan – 7:00PM AWST
Game 2, Saturday 1 Feb – 7:00PM AWST
Game 3, Sunday 2 Feb – 6:00PM AWST

*7PM AWST is 4AM EST

All three games will be broadcast online through Baseball+ or through the App store on your phone.

Perth is looking for its 5th title, which would be a league best. They are tied with Brisbane with 4 total. However, they have not won a title since 2014-2015. The Heat finished the regular season in 3rd place with a 20-20 record.

Canberra has won 1 title in league history back in 2012-2013. And while Perth has been to the title round the last 3 years (losing all 3), the Cavalry have not been this far since 2017-2018 when they lost to Brisbane.

The Heat and Cavalry are 1-1 versus each other in Championship Series.

I will try to be up for the games and live posting – but we will see. At the very least I will be posting game updates afterwards. So stay tuned here for updates on the ABL Championship.
