With six weeks in the book so far in the French Division 1 season, the Senart Templiers are out in front of the standings at 12-0 after a weekend sweep of the Cubs last weekend. Right on the Templiers tail are the ever powerful Rouen Huskies who sit at 11-1 setting up a showdown this next weekend of the top two teams in the division.
The lone loss for the Huskies came in Week 6 with a 4-3 loss in Game 1 of their series with the Montpellier Barracudas. The Barracudas are the only other team in the league that are over .500 as they sit in third place at 8-4.
Senart will travel to Rouen this weekend in hopes of stretching their lead in the division. Montpellier will face off with Clermont at home hoping to push Clermont under .500 and move closer to one of the top two teams.
Both Rouen and Senart are getting it done on both sides of the ball. Rouen leads the league in both hitting at a .330 clip and ERA at just 1.60. Meanwhile, Senart is close behind in both categories as the only other team hitting over .300 at .304. The Templiers team ERA sits at a very good 2.02 which is a run better than the next best team.
