2017 Preseason College Baseball Poll

2017 Preseason College Baseball Poll

Collegiate Baseball newspaper released their 2017 Preseason Poll recently with TCU at the top. The Horned Frogs finished 3rd last season and return eight position player starters including five Collegiate Baseball All-Americans. Throw in some key returners on the hill and TCU is poised to make a run at a national title.

Some familiar names are at the top just behind TCU. LSU ranks no. 2 going into the 2017 season, but they will have another tough road through the SEC as fellow conference mates Florida (no. 3), South Carolina (no. 4), Vanderbilt (no. 6), and Texas A&M (no. 20) are all in the Top 20.

The ACC also has a strong showing in the top 20 with Miami (no. 8), Florida St (no. 9), Louisville (no. 11), Clemson (no. 12), North Carolina (no. 15), and Virginia (no. 16). This makes for another exciting year in the ACC where Clemson will look to defend their 2016 conference tournament title.
