The French Division I season kicked off for 2015 this weekend with the Senart Templiers entering as defending champions. But don’t look now the Rouen Huskies will look to reclaim the throne they have held the previous nine years.
Rouen started their claim for another title with a bang outscoring the Beaucaire Knights 19-1 over a two game sweep. The defending champion Senart started off with a two game series win as well, but they did not blow out the Savigny Lions in both games.
Paris UC made it to the finals in 2014 but were in the only split series of the weekend. Paris split with Stade after getting shutout 1-0 in game 2.
There will be one less undefeated team next weekend as Senart and Rouen will square off.
