The Milwaukee Braves become the first team since 1903 (Baltimore to New York) to shift. The Braves make the move from Boston after being there for 77 years. The Braves move to the Western Division replacing the Pittsburgh Pirates for scheduling purposes.
The Braves would spend 13 seasons in Milwaukee before moving onto Atlanta.
