There wasn’t much action in the North Division of the German Bundesliga over the weekend due to some strong rain. The series between the HSV Stealers and the Berlin Sluggers was rained out. So was the series between the Cologne Cardinals and the Dohren Wild Farmers. Leaving the only action of the weekend to the Dortmund Wanderers and the Bonn Capitals.
Dortmund Wanderers 2, Bonn Capitals 6
Dortmund Wanderers 0, Bonn Capitals 9
The Bonn Capitals stayed just a game behind the idle Solingen Alligators with the sweep of the Wanderers this weekend.
Bonn got a good outing from starter Moritz Sckaer who picked up his second win of the year. Sckaer tossed five innings allowing just one run on one hit. He did walk four.
Bradley Roper-Hubbert hit his fourth home run of the year while the Capitals pounded out 12 hits. Five different hitters collected two hits in the game.
Unfortunately the Wanderers had to forfeit Game 2 of the day due to a player shortage, so there was only one game played.
North Division Standings:
1. Solingen Alligators 10-0
2. Bonn Capitals 9-1
3. Paderborn Untouchables 8-4
4. HSV Stealers 5-3
5. Dohren Wild Farmers 4-6
6. Cologne Cardinals 2-8
7. Dortmund Wanderers 1-9
8. Berlin Sluggers 1-9
