Spain: San Inazio Bilbao Blasts El Llano BC in a Doubleheader

The Spanish Division de Honor is in full swing already as they are a few weeks away from the halfway point of the season already. CB Barcelona still leads the league, but not far behind them are the Tenerife Marlins.

The weekend series between CB Barcelona and CBS Sant Boi was rained out. All other games took place as CB Vilamoura had the week off.

San Inazio got the sticks going early and often this weekend as they won by a combined score of 33 to 0 over El Llano.

In Game 1, San Inazio pounded out 25 hits scoring in four of the five innings played while limiting El Llano to just two hits. Jose Vidal Romero (W, 1-2) picked up the win going four innings allowing just one hit.

Every single hitter for San Inazio got at least one hit. Domingo Morillo and Jose Morales both went 5-for-5 in the game. Morillo drove in three runs and scored three, and Morales drove in five runs while scoring twice.

Game 2 wasn’t much better for El Llano as they only picked up a total of four hits in the game.

Juan Jose Lopez (W, 3-1) picked up the win for San Inazio pitching six innings allowing just three hits and striking out eight. Vito Abbattista (L, 0-1) took the loss going 7.1 innings giving up ten runs on 17 hits.

Jose Morales once again led the offense going 4-for-5 with three runs scored and knocking in a pair as well.

In other action:

Leslie Nacar pitched a complete game win for the Tenerife Marlins. Nacar gave up just one run on five hits while striking out 14.

Richard Montiel went a combined 5-for-8, hitting three doubles, and driving in two runs in each of the Marlins games this weekend.

Miguel Vargas pitched a complete game three hitter for the Valencia Astros. He gave up just one run and struck out 13 in the win.

Blake Ochoa homered going 2-for-4 while scoring three runs and driving in two for the Astros in Game 2 of their weekend series with Pamplona.
