Corendon Kinheim Wins 2012 Holland Series

Corendon Kinheim swept its way to the 2012 Holland Series title defeating DOOR Neptunus 9-2 in Game 4 on Tuesday.

Championship Series MVP David Bergman struck out 13 in 8 innings to capture the win clinching the title for Kinheim. Dirk van’t Klooster (2-for-4/2 RBI)and Bryan Engelhardt (1-for-3) both homered in the win.

Rien Vernooij homered for DOOR in the loss.

The game was close until the 8th inning when Corendon scored 5 times putting the game out of reach. A pair of Neptunus errors contributed to the offensive outburst as Corendon collected only 2 hits in the 5-run inning.

Corendon Kinheim came back to finish 2nd in the round robin after starting off with a 3 losses to the Neptunus.
