Australia: Melbourne Aces Have New Home

The Melbourne Aces are moving……to a new stadium. For the 2012-13 season, the Aces will move to Melbourne Ballpark in Laverton.

The site was home to one of the original Australian Baseball League teams the Melbourne Monarchs. More recently, it was home to the Victoria Aces.

The ballpark will be revamped for the upcoming season thanks to a grant from Sports Recreation Victoria. Some of the planned improvements are a new synthetic field, building a new VIP area, and shortening the outfield fence.

The stadium seats 2,400.
