American Team AIST Wins Prague Baseball Week

PRAGUE, Czech Republic – The Prague Eagles hosted Prague Baseball Week last week with an American team coming out on top.

The American team of AIST (American International Sports Teams) defeated the Czech National Team 12-6 to take the title. It was AIST’s second straight Prague Baseball Week title. AIST finished the tournament undefeated with a 5-0 record.

AIST was a team made up of college players from around the USA. The team steamrolled through most of the competition having only a single close game coming in their second contest against another American team (Team International) winning 7-6.

The Czech U21 Team took third place defeating USSSA (USA) on the final day 2-1.

Andrew Benton, of Briar Cliff College, was named the tournament MVP from AIST.
