Europe: Top Hitters and Pitchers From Last Weekend

Senart Templiers dual threat Matthieu Brelle-Andrade enjoyed a banner day last Sunday to help the French Baseball League second-place squad sweep past the Pessac Panthers.

The 27-year-old tossed a complete game eight-inning no-hitter to help the Templiers blank Pessac, 10-0, in the first game of a doubleheader. The right-hander allowed only two batters to reach base (walk and error) while posting four strikeouts to improve his card to 2-2 with an eye-catching 1.61 ERA in 50 1/3 frames.

Brelle-Andrade, who leads Senart with a .333 batting mark (18-for-54), used the lumber to help the Templiers capture an 8-6 victory in the twinbill finale.

The French national team standout went 3-for-4 with a walk, double and four RBIs as Senart (12-4) remains in a three-way race with Rouen and Paris University Club for this year’s French national championship.
