ITALY – Telemarket Rimini moved into sole possession of second place in the Italian Baseball League with a three-game sweep over Novara United. The Pirates, which have logged 11 wins in 15 contests, trail league-leading T&A San Marino by a lone game.
San Marino (12-3) took two out of three games against a much-improved Godo Knights (7-6), while Grosseto Baseball (4-11) dealt Unipol Bologna (9-4) a pair of upset losses, and Danesi Nettuno rebounded from a series-opening loss to Cariparma Parma to win the three-game set.
