PENSACOLA – The new Southern League AA-Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds will combine the colors and textures of the Florida Gulf Coast with the unveiling of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos new logo.
Neon red, a first for a sports team in honor of the neon signs that illuminate Pensacola Beach, Gulf Coast royal, Blue Angel navy (the Navy’s Blue Angels are stationed in Pensacola), and Tin Roof tin will make up the colors of the new team.
The team worked with countless locals including staff, fans, and community leaders to create a team logo that would embody the spirit of Pensacola and the entire Emerald Gulf Coast.
The Blue Wahoos will play in the new$52 million Maritime Park which is scheduled for completion in January 2012.
