Belgium: Hoboken Pioneers Close to Third Straight Championship

BELGIUM – The Hoboken Pioneers moved closer to its third consecutive national championship with a pair of victories over the Namur Angels last weekend in the Belgian Finals.

The two-time reigning champion opened the best-of-five title series with a 11-7 decision last Saturday over the surprising Angels, which were making its first appearance in the championship series in 12 years.

Hoboken nipped Namur, 4-3, in Game 2 the following day to move within one win shy of a threepeat.

Game 1 – Hoboken Pioneers 11, Namur Angels 7
Game 2 – Hoboken Pioneers 4, Namur Angels 3
Game 3 – Namur Angels at Hoboken Pioneers
Game 4 – Namur Angels at Hoboken Pioneers*
Game 5 – Namur Angels at Hoboken Pioneers*
