Belgium: Hoboken, Antwerp Earn Sweeps

BELGIUM – The Hoboken Pioneers and the Antwerp Royal Greys both started the Belgian League Playoffs last weekend with a pair of key victories.

The Pioneers, the two-time reigning national champion, claimed two wins (5-2 and 9-4) over the Namur Angels to begin its quest for a third consecutive title.

The Royal Greys, one of the most successful clubs in Belgium, picked up a pair of narrow wins, 3-1 and 2-1, over the top-ranked Borgerhout Squirrels.

BELGIAN PLAYOFF STANDINGS
1. Hoboken Pioneers (2-0)
2. Antwerp Royal Greys (2-0)
3. Borgerhout Squirrels (0-2)
4. Namur Angels (0-2)
