Japan: Central League Postpones Season Start Date

JAPAN – After an emergency board meeting, the Central League of Nippon Professional Baseball has pushed back the start of the 2011 season until April 12. This matches what the Pacific League had already decided.

The Central League had initially decided to move their season start date to March 29, but changed it once again after a lot of pressure from the government.
