ITALY – Palfinger Reggio Emilio announced the signing of American Thomas DiBenedetto Jr. He recently received an Italian passport and will become the new shortstop.
DiBenedetto was drafted in 2008 by the Boston Red Sox and spent 2 seasons in their organization. Thomas spent last season bouncing around the independent leagues in the USA. In college Thomas helped lead his school, Trinity College, to the NCAA D3 title where he was a standout shortstop.
