CZECH REPUBLIC – The Czech Baseball Association (CBA) has appointed Andy Berglund as the head coach of the Czech National Team. The American, who signed a two-year deal and will also be responsible for the Junior National Team, succeeds Arnost Nesnal.
Berglund previously worked as a MLB Envoy Coach in Europe, and steered Stockholm to the 2008 Swedish League championship. He is currently coaching in the United States and will arrive in the Czech Republic in mid-March.
Besides coaching the national teams, Berglund will also be calling the shots as skipper of the Czech club Prague Eagles.
