Vigo Halcones Visits Sant Boi

SPAIN – League-leading Sant Boi will be hosting the Vigo Halcones this weekend as the Spanish League reached the midway point of the 2010 season.

Sant Boi (15-1) outscored the Valencia Astros 28-4 in two lopsided wins a week ago to remain ahead of FC Barcelona in a tight race for the league crown. Spain is one of the few leagues which does not have a playoff format.

Vigo (5-9) split a two-game set against Viladecans last week but has continued to struggle crossing the plate with just 47 runs in 14 games.

FC Barcelona (12-2) remains in the title hunt and will be looking to extend their six-game winning streak against Viladecans (6-10), while the Tenerife Marlins (11-5) should have little trouble with winless El Llano (0-16).

Other matchups on tap has the Valencia Astros (5-11) meeting Pamplona (4-12), and Baseball Navarra (11-5) will battle San Inazio (9-7).
