SOUTH KOREA – Foreign pitchers dominated the first day of preseason action in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) reports the True Stories of Korean Baseball website. The eight league teams signed 14 pitchers and just two position players this winter to complete the 16 roster spots for foreign players.

The LG Twins edged the Nexen Heroes despite a nifty performance by Adrian Burnside who allowed a lone hit over four scoreless innings for the Seoul-based Heroes.

Ryan Sadowski struck out a trio of batters in a strong three-inning outing to help the Lotte Giants rout the Hanwha Eagles.
BEARS 5, WYVERNS 0
The Doosan Bears blanked SK Wyverns as newcomer Kelvin Jiminez tossed four shutout innings.
LIONS 4, TIGERS 1
Francisco Cruceta threw five perfect innings and the Samsung Lions roughed up Aquilino Lopez for four runs and eight hits to beat the Kia Tigers.
