ITALY – Danesi Nettuno of the Italian Baseball League have added former Major League pitcher Kris Wilson and veteran slugger Lino Connell for the 2010 season.

A 1997 Kansas City Royals draft pick, Wilson pitched in 95 big league games with the Royals and New York Yankees while earning 14 wins.

The 33-year-old right-hander also made 218 minor league appearances while posting a 4.04 ERA with 669 strikeouts in 944 2/3 innings.

The Washington, D.C. native pitched in the Korean League in 2007 with the Samsung Lions.

Connell is a former Angels prospect who spent the majority of his professional career playing on the independent league circuit and in Mexico. The Venezuelan national team infielder batted .347 at last year’s IBAF Baseball World Cup.

The 37-year-old has a career .338 batting mark with 11 homers and 75 RBIs in 126 IBL games with Fortitudo Bologna (2007-08) and De Angelis Godo (2009).
