GERMANY – The 2010 German League will get underway on April 3 with a pair of doubleheaders. The Dortmund Wanderers and their new American manager Matt Kemp will square off against the HSV Stealers, while the Dohren Wild Farmers will butt heads with the Bonn Capitals in their Bundesliga debut.
The reigning German champion Heidenheim Heidekoepfe will begin defense of their title on April 4 opposite the Saarlouis Hornets. The two squads will complete the two-game weekend series the following day.
Two of the South Division top teams, the Buchbinder Legionäre and Mannheim Tornados, will meet at Roberto Clemente Stadium in Mannheim in an early season showdown.
Other matchups on opening weekend has the Pulheim Gophers hosting the always tough Solingen Alligators; the perennial title contender Paderborn Untouchables on the road against the Cologne Cardinals; the Haar Disciples hosting the Gauting Indians; and the 2007 champion Mainz Athletics travelling to Neuenburg to challenge the Atomics.
