UNITED STATES – Some of the top junior national team players from France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands will showcase their skills in front of college recruiters and professional scouts at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina on Nov. 8.
A total of 21 ballplayers will participate in the Scout Day activities directed by the MLB Scouting Bureau. The junior national team coaches for Holland and Italy, Brian Farley and Bill Holmberg, will also be at the event.
The Scout Day activities will begin at 11:30 AM and includes the following:
• 60 Yard Dash
• Defensive Groups (C, INF, OF)
• Batting Practice
A 12-inning exhibition showcase game between the European players and Pitt Community College (PCC) will start at approximately 1:15 PM. PCC is a very successful program from Greenville, North Carolina.
