LOTTE GIANTS SNEAK INTO PLAYOFFS

The Lotte Giants secured the final playoff spot in the Korea Baseball Organization this past Wednesday when SK Wyverns beat the Samsung Lions, 7-4.

The Giants, who are led by former major leaguer Jerry Royster, found itself in last place on June 8 after a rash of injuries caused the squad to stumble out of the gate. However, the second-year American skipper has steered the Busan-based franchise to their second consecutive post-season appearance after a seven year absence from 2001-07.
