INDONESIA – The Philippines knocked off previously unbeaten Guam in the Senior League title game at the Asia-Pacific Regional Tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 28 to advance to the Little League World Series late this summer.
The ILLAM Central Little League team from Makati City, Philippines dropped their opening game against Guam, 9-7, before routing Indonesia 13-1. The Filipinos slipped past CNMI 2-1 to advance to the championship game where they nipped Guam, 6-5.
