TAIWAN – Shoda Itsuki pitched a complete game and the Sinon Bulls scored nine late runs to rout the La New Bears 12-5 this past Tuesday in action from the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

The Bulls touched La New starter Chang Chih-Chia for a pair of second-inning scores to hold an early lead, and added a run an inning later to make the score 3-0. Meanwhile, Itsuki was blanking the Bears’ lineup until the sixth when the home team closed the gap with two runs.

Sinon chased Chang during a three-run eighth before feasting on the La New bullpen for six scores in the ninth to notch the lopsided victory.

Second baseman Lin Chih-Sheng and designated hitter Chang “Tarzan” Tai-shan both went deep for the Bulls swatting their third and fourth home runs of the season, respectively. The trio of Chang Chien-Ming, Cheng Chao-Hsing, and Lee Yi-Wei collected two hits apiece.

Tim Raines, Jr. and Lin Chih-Sheng both had a pair of hits for the Bears, while pinch-hitter Pan Chung-Wei belted a solo homer in a losing effort.

Itsuki (4-1) allowed just two runs over the first seven innings before finishing with five runs on 10 hits.

Chang (4-2) was dealt the loss after surrendering six runs in 7 1/3 innings.
