USA – 2009 USA Baseball 18U National Team Head Coach Garye LaFevers will instruct at the USA Baseball Camps Week in Cary, June 15 – 20, 2009. Participating in three different camps during the week, Coach LaFevers will bring his wealth of USA Baseball experience to the youth participants.
LaFevers has worked with USA Baseball for the past five years. After serving as the assistant coach for the 16U National Team in 2004 and 2005, he was promoted to the head coaching role in 2006 and 2008, winning a gold medal at the COPABE Youth Pan Am Championships both years.
Most recently, LaFevers was named the USA Baseball 18U National Team Head Coach for 2009 where he will lead the U.S. to Barquisimeto, Venezuela for the COPABE Pan Am “AAA” Championships.
“Having Coach LaFevers instruct at our camps week is an incredible opportunity,” says Matt Titus, Director of Baseball Administration. “His wealth of knowledge and his love of the game will provide an invaluable experience for the participants.”
Coach LaFevers will instruct the Youth Development Camp, the Athlete Prospect Camp and the Father’s Day Parent/Child Camp at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
