SPAIN – The surprising Vigo Halcones will be looking to continue their winning ways when it meets Viladecans in the BaseballdeWorld Spanish League Matchup of the Week. The Halcones will bring a 4-2 record into the two-game series while Viladecans has a 3-2 card.
The league newcomer upset Sant Boi 1-0 in the opening game a week ago behind a five-hit complete game outing from staff ace Ronny Malave (2-1). In the second game, second baseman Michel San Gil went 2-for-3 with his second home run of the year and three RBIs in a 16-5 loss.

Jose Antonio Acevedo (.500) is the top hitter for a team which is batting .282 as a group. Franklin Tavarez has a league-best three triples and trails only the Marlins Daniel Sanchez with 11 hits and 18 total bases. Marco Marques ranks among the league leaders with two home runs and nine RBIs.
Viladecans, which has a team batting mark of .283, is led at the plate by Miguel Catalan (.529). Oscar Angulo is the top power threat with two homers, eight RBIs, and 16 total bases thus far this young season.
