USA – The Kansas City Royals recently signed their first prospect out of South Korea, catcher Shin Jin-ho, according to Rene Francisco, who heads the organization international operations.

The 17-year-old will be assigned to the Arizona instructional league next fall after graduating from high school.

Shin, who is 6-3 and 190 pounds, has above-average power and possesses uncanny agility for his size.

“You know how hard catching is to find, so if you find ability, you want to try it,” Francisco said.
