USA – Former Chicago baseball stars Carlos May and Randy Hundley have joined the roster for the Cubs-White Sox Legends Game. The Rockford RiverHawks will host the game featuring former major-league stars as part of their two-day Frontier League All-Star celebration.

The Legends Game is scheduled for 6 p.m. July 14 at Road Ranger Stadium. Tickets, which include admission to that night’s All-Star Home Run Derby, are $15 for infield and home-plate box seats, $10 for outfield box. A two-day pass, which includes admission to the July 15 Frontier League All-Star Game, is $25, $20 for outfield box.

Carlos May was Chicago’s first-round draft pick in 1966 represented the Sox as an American League All-Star in ‘69 and ‘72. He spent nearly his entire 10-year major-league career with Chicago. In 1973, May had arguably his best year. He batted .268 with 20 home runs and 96 RBI.

Randy Hundley represented the Cubs on the National League All-Star team in 1969. He had two stints with the North Siders during his 14-year career in the majors. Hundley reached double digits in home runs four times in his career.

“We’re trying to appeal to Cubs fans of multiple generations, because we’re bringing in players from the 60s, 70s and 80s,” RiverHawks general manager Josh Olerud said. “This game has great appeal to fans of different eras. I think they’re two big additions for the die-hard Cubs or Sox fan.”

Former Cub Bob Dernier and Steve Trout, who pitched for both Chicago teams, will be the team captains. Former Cub Keith Moreland and ex-Sox Dan Pasqua are also scheduled to play. Additional stars will be announced as the event draws closer.

Tickets for all All-Star events, including the Legends Game, are currently reserved for fans who purchase a season ticket, mini-plan or bonus book. Ticket plans start as low as $50 and can be purchased in person at the stadium box office or by calling (815) 885-BALL.

The Home Run Derby follows the Legends Game at 8:30 p.m.
