JAPAN – The Hanshin Tigers of the Japanese League announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Taiwan national team pitcher Cheng Kai-wen to a one-year contact. A 20-year-old university student, the right-hander is currently competing for his native country at the second World Baseball Classic.
