USA – The 2009 high school baseball team has gotten underway and in Oklahoma, some of the top
players to watch includes an abundance of hard-throwing collegiate prospects.
Yukon High School features a pair of left-handers in Ryan Gibson and Chad James who both have been blessed with 90+ mph fastballs. Gibson will don the colors of the Oklahoma Sooners next year while another flame-thrower, Enid right-handed ace Tobin Mateychick, has signed with the Wichita State Shockers.

TIMOTHY FLANDERS
Midwest City outfielder, who will play football at Kansas State, batted .418 in 2008 with four home runs.
RYAN GIBSON
Yukon southpaw with 90+ mph fastball has signed with the Oklahoma Sooners.
ANDREW HEANEY
Putnam CIty left-hander has signed with Oklahoma State and is a Louisville Slugger second-team All-American selection.
AUSTIN KIRK
Versatile Owasso standout (LHP/1B/OF) is a Louisville Slugger first-team preseason All-American.
TOBIN MATEYCHICK
Enid right-hander has signed with Wichita State and possesses 90+ mph fastball and above-average changeup.
J.T. REALMUTO
A three-sport standout for the Carl Albert Titans, the sophomore batted .392 with 40 RBIs last season.
BRYSON THIONNET
The Moore product signed with Connors State after leading the Lions to the 6A finals in 2008.
DUKE VON SCHAMANN
Versatile Texas Tech signee is the son of former OU Sooner kicker Uwe von Schamann.
JARED WRIGHT
Putnam City outfielder batted .411 as a junior while also driving home 37 runs.
CHAD JAMES
Yukon left-hander with 90+ mph fastball is a Louisville Slugger first-team preseason All-American.
