SPAIN – The Spanish League club El Llano have signed two players from Argentina, Nicholas Peyrote and Jose Maria Palacios, for the 2009 season.
Peyrote is an infielder who has played the past three seasons with the Argentine club – Popeye de Salta. The
21-year-old, who will be making his professional debut this year, has vast experience in youth international tournaments.
Nicknamed “Nico”, the Salta native has competed at the Jugo Mundial in Brazil (2003), Pan-American Games in Mexico (1997,2005), and the South American U21 Championship in Peru (2007).
Palacios also hails from Salta and will be making his professional debut as well in 2009. The 18-year-old outfielder has played nine seasons with the club, Popeye de Salta.
