USA – Principal Gene Mosley relied on his long-time friendship with Leo Danik to lure the former South Brunswick and J.P. Stevens baseball coach to Dunellen High School.
Earlier this week, the Dunellen Board of Education, upon Mosley’s recommendation, approved Danik as the successor to Anthony Guida, who left Dunellen last month to become the head coach at South Plainfield.
Landing Danik, who compiled a 100-57 record in seven seasons at South Brunswick and led the Vikings to their only Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament championship in 2002, is a coup of sorts for Dunellen, a tiny Group I school.
