SPAIN – The 1st Annual Canarias Beisbol Youth League Big Show was a big success in preparing the next generation of Spanish League baseball standouts. Organized by Nestor Perez, the league provides youth players the chance to showcase the skills they have learned in training sessions in preparation of competing in actual league play next spring.

Ferretería La Hornera scored seven runs in the opening frame and withstood a late rally by Deportes Base to capture an 8-5 victory in the first contest of the day. In the second match, Tenerfinca erased a 4-1 deficit with an eight-run fourth and coasted to a 9-4 win against Ferretería La Hornera.

The team is guided by Manrique Pérez (manager) and Ramón Martín (coach).

Deportes Base team members are Javier González, Leonardo Méndez, Carlos Alvarado, Pablo Ravelo, Jesús Afonso, Cristo Soca, Carlos Rodríguez, Josbel Portela, Daniel Fuentes, José Manuel Calzadilla, Dullion Gorrín, Amatista Brito, Mateo, Sara, Cesar, Héctor Delgado, Samuel Pérez

The squad is directed by Paulo Ravelo (manager) and Cesar Paramacuto (coach).

Tenerfinca team members includes Giovanni Binetti, Aitcken Galván, Edgar Pirela, Samuel Castro, Samuel Irán, Maikel Afonso, Miriam, Jairo, Jonás, Daniel Castro, Andrés Rodríguez, Kleiver Varela, Rafa, Carlos Ramírez, Airam Durán and Cristian Reyes.

The team is headed by Govani Binetti (Technical Director), Edgar Pirela (Manager), and Coach Rafael.
