Peoria Saguaros Outslug Phoenix Desert Dogs In Arizona Fall League

USA - 2008 Rookies-Of-The-Year winners Geovany Soto (CHC) and Evan Longoria (TB) became the 17th and 18th former Fall League players to win the prestigious award. Soto hit .285 with 141 hits, 23 HR, and 86 RBI this season. Soto played for the Mesa Solar Sox in 2004. Longoria was the unanimous American League selection and finished 2008 season by hitting .272 with 122 hits, 27 HR and 85 RBI. Longoria played for the Scottsdale Scorpions and Team USA in 2007.
