Davao City Baseball Cup Set For 2009

PHILIPPINES - The fourth edition of the Davao City Baseball Cup is all set to fire up in 2009 to be held at the University of Mindanao Matina grounds.

“It will be on February 20 to 22, 2009 and now we are accepting teams who want to join,” said Datu Uchida Development Foundation Incorporated Sports Coordinator Yusuke Uchida in yesterday’s Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn Davao.

The tournament, which will have a deadline of submission of teams on January 15, 2009, will be open to elementary and high school squads with cash prizes, trophies, baseball equipments and a victory bash at a posh hotel will be given to the winners.

Aside from the prizes, participating teams will also receive transportation subsidy, free lunch, baseball equipment and souvenir shirts.
