USA – The Cincinnati Reds had two players, first baseman Joey Votto and outfielder Jay Bruce, selected to
the 2008 Topps Rookie All-Star team. Of the 30 Major League teams, no other club had more than one player selected to the talent-laden squad.
Chicago Cubs catcher Geovany Soto and Tampa Bay third baseman Evan Longoria, the Baseball Writers Association of America reigning Rookie of the Year winners, joined the Reds duo along with Cuban sensation Alexei Ramirez of the Chicago White Sox.
