USA – Villanova University is currently hosting an online auction benefiting the University’s Block V Club that includes a Luxury Suite package for a 2009 Bridgeport Bluefish game at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard. Fans not only have a chance to see the Bluefish in action at home, but on the road as well. Luxury boxes to Bluefish games in Camden and Long Island are also on the auction block. Fans can bid on these incredible packages as well as other unique items and memorabilia, including many signed by baseball’s all-time greats. The auction is open now and continues until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5.

The Bluefish Luxury Suite package gives you the opportunity to watch an Atlantic League baseball game in style from a beautiful luxury box at Harbor Yard. This package includes 16 tickets, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, your name on the scoreboard, and a pre game visit to the dugout to meet players and coaching staff. Date to be mutually agreed upon with Bridgeport Bluefish during the 2009 season.

Fans also have a chance to bid on a luxury suite for a 2009 Long Island Ducks game at Citibank Park. Included are a $200 food credit, one case of soda, one case of beer, one bottle of red and one bottle of white wine, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, your name on the scoreboard, an autographed team baseball and a meet and greet with Bud Harrelson (date to be mutually agreed upon — excludes Opening Day and Fourth of July). Citibank Park will host the Atlantic League’s most storied rivalry when the Bluefish visit three times during the 2009 season.

A luxury suite for a 2009 Camden Riversharks game is also on the auction block. If you like baseball then this is the package for you! You and 20 of your closest friends (or business associates) will enjoy minor league baseball at beautiful Campbell’s Field in Camden, New Jersey. Included are four VIP parking passes and $200 credit towards food and beverage. This is good for any Riversharks game Sunday through Thursday during the 2009 season. Date to be mutually agreed upon.

Several autographed items appear on the block, signed by current Major League superstars as well as Hall of Famers. Fans can bid on a helmet signed by New York Mets third baseman David Wright and Boston Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon, or baseballs signed by Hall of Famers George Brett and Steve Carlton. A bat signed by Hall of Famer and original New York Met Richie Ashburn is yet another highlighted item up for auction.
