USA – Tyler Stovall is having one of the better weeks of a near-perfect life. Hokes Bluff’s hard-throwing southpaw gave the valedictory address for his senior class on Thursday. And, Gatorade named him the 2008 Alabama State Player of the Year on the same day while the Alabama Sports Writers Association announced his selection as its 2008 Mr. Baseball.

The selection of Stovall as the top player in the state headlines the release of ASWA’s All-State and Super 10 teams as voted by the ASWA prep committee. Stovall was also named Player of the Year in Class 3A.
