PHILIPPINES – The Baseball Philippines Series 4 begins this weekend when the Taguig Patriots and Cebu Dolphins tangle in the season-opening game. Dumaguete Uni-Bikers will meet the reigning Series 3 Champions, the Batangas Bulls, and the final matchup has the powerful Manila Sharks taking on the expansion Muninlupa squad.

The Dolphins led the league with a .362 batting average in Series 3 action but the upstart Bulls, who caught fire late in the season and rolled to an improbable title, tallied a league-best 110 runs. The always tough Manila team hit .336 and led the circuit with 143 hits.
