CZECH REPUBLIC – Czech powerhouse Draci Brno will battle Arrows Ostrava in the Czech League Championship beginning on Saturday, October 4.
Draci is the reigning champions but struggled in their semi-final matchup against the Leos Kubat-led MZLU Express. Kubat beat Draci twice to put his team a win away from upsetting the title favorites before the Czech Republic top club claimed two straight wins to avoid being ousted from post-season action.
The Arrows, who finished second in the regular season standings behind Draci, also were pushed to the limit in their semi-final encounter with Technika Brno. Filipino ace left-hander Jon-Jon Robles tossed a gem in a 9-1 victory to send the Arrows into the championship series.
