TAIWAN – The dmedia T-Rex have signed 3B Jose Leon. The 31 year old batted .279 with 5 HRs and 15 RBIs in 28 games with Guerreros de Oaxaca and Tigres de Quintana Roo (Triple-A Mexican League) this season.

León was once a highly regarded power-hitting prospect but failed to live up to his potential. He played for the World Team at the 2000 All-Star Futures Game.

In 2007 Leon played with the then Makoto Cobras, batting .346 with 3 HRs and 11 RBIs in 14 games. However, an argument with one of the coaches led to his release.

In order to make room for Leon, the T-Rex released P Willy Lebron (0-5, 9.25 ERA in 11 games).
