World Cup
By admin on Sunday, 20th January 2008The Baseball World Cup, sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation, is an international tournament in which national baseball teams from around the world compete.
The tournament has been dominated by Cuba which has won 25 of the 36 World Cup competitions. The arrival of professional U.S. minor league players in 1996 significantly elevated the level of play at the tournament which has enjoyed steady growth in recent years.
